We are aware of a fire on Trehafren Hill in Newtown last night and we will continue to patrol and work with partner agencies to keep our communities safe. If you have any information in regards to last nights incident please call us on 101 or report online.

With this extreme dry weather fires can start extremely easily and anywhere.  Mid and West Wales have shared some valuable advice and information on their Facebook page about how to be wildfire wise. 

⛔Only have BBQ's where signs say you can 

🌭Do not light campfires 

🚮Dispose of smoking materials safely 

🥛Clear away bottles, glasses and any broken glass to avoid them magnifying the sun and starting a fire.

If you see a wildfire, get to a safe space, call 999 and ask for the Fire Service.
